The aluminum guide arm and base are cast from 40,000 psi tensile strength material with 7% elongation - which ensures ultimate shock resistance. The main spring is protected from damage caused by water, dirt or other foreign matter by not allowing it to enter the spring case. Each component is coated individually with a baked on powder coat finish which provides an excellent high quality ultra violet (sun) and chip resistance.
